Master Gardeners offer free food growing advice and support for local people and communities.
Each volunteer has innovative ways for inspiring households and connecting neighbourhoods to grow their own food and keep growing.
This exciting volunteer network launched in September 2010 with Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse, part of Norfolk County Council, in partnership with Garden Organic with funding from the Big Lottery Fund’s Local Food Scheme and Sheepdrove Trust.
The Norfolk network was twice extended thanks to continuing funding from the Local Food Scheme and match support from Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse. The county-wide programme comes to a conclusion in February 2014 with the national closure of the Local Food Scheme.
Master Gardeners are actively supported by our locally based co-ordinator, Gabbie Joyce and programme partners.
